For many of us as children during the cold war era, the biggest fear was a nuclear conflict between the two nations and now we can sit back and enjoy World in Conflict without any problems.

This game is not like the run-around-the-mill RTS games as it does not follow the familiar model of base building and swarming armies. Instead it is a strategy game, though many like to call World in Conflict an action game. The game is fun and entertaining to play and you can play it in single player or multiplayer mode.

World in Conflict is all about an alternate history of 1989. Instead of the collapse of Communism and fall of Berlin Wall, the Soviet Union launches an attack on Western Europe and the United States rushes to help its allies. Four months into the war, the Soviet Union launches a surprise attack on Seattle and gradually pushes the conflict inland. You are part of the 14-mission single player campaign and you play a Company Commander who is part of the meager US defense. Battles take place in remote areas of the Soviet Union and finally the conflict comes to New York City.

Part of the excitement of playing World in Conflict comes from the excellent storytelling which is narrated by Alec Baldwin, who does an excellent job of bring the main and secondary characters to life. You will be amazed how involved you get in the game with incredible pre-rendered cutscenes.

World in Conflict is a thrilling game about destruction and you will have to unleash the firepower of modern military units on open battlefields. In addition, you will end up experiencing combined arms warfare. World in Conflict also has an excellent resource system with reinforcement points which you can use to purchase units. Obviously, powerful units are more expensive than weaker ones, so you may always end up purchasing quantity rather than quality. This said, it is quite obvious that different classes of units will have different abilities so you have to wise and smart while making your purchase. You will earn points by killing your enemies, seizing and fortifying objectives, repairing friendly vehicles, transporting infantry around the battlefield etc. You can then use these points to purchase powerful tactical aids.

World in Conflict Cheat Codes
In order to use the cheat codes for World in Conflict you will need the console. Add the –console line shortcut to the game and during the game press (~) and enter the cheat codes.

• To unlock all the maps in campaign mode you need to enter “UnlockAllMaps”.
• To win a current mission the cheat code is “WinGame”.
• To get a list of commands, the cheat code is “cmdlist”.
