The Blair Witch Project is one of the oldest games around. The best part about this game is that it is a no-frills, simple kind of game. It is not very expensive and players should not expect much from it in terms of great graphics or brilliant music. However, it does have an entertaining storyline, nice atmosphere, and many surprises. The plot of the game is based in an 1880s civil war in a haunted forest. Players have to fight all sorts of zombies and ghosts with weapons.

The beauty of the plot is that it suddenly takes you 20 years ahead. The main character is suddenly caught standing on the exact same ground where an incident occurred in the Blair Witch forest 20 years ago. But the character suffers from amnesia and realizes that he is in the middle of a war. He then has to battle Rebel raiders and other enemies. The storyline has a lot of suspense and excitement. Atmosphere, sound and lighting effects are very good. The war cries and other sounds are well-made. As the protagonist of the story, your job is to find clues and weapons which will solve the mystery.

The game is not without its shortcomings. The weakness of the game lies in its ordinary graphics and short duration. Sometimes even the character animations slightly float above the ground. Overall, it is a good game for some light-headed entertainment. Adventure seekers should look somewhere else for their dose of blood and gore.
