In addition, overall the game is just too insipid so you do not lose track of time as you drift away in the gameplay.

The game has the same plot as the film. An alien ship comes crashing down in a small town in Colorado. You are the predator and you have to destroy all traces of the alien in the vicinity of the town. As you go about doing your job, you come across humans -- military and unarmed civilians.

There is no doubt that in the beginning you might find the predator technology exciting as you discover the invisibility mode, three types of special vision and some really cool weapons. However, this novelty will wear off pretty soon as there is hardly any strategic rationale for using any of the predator technology. This is because the combat system is too much in your favor and each level’s objectives are too clearly marked out in details. If your health is not too good, you can easily restore your health without any problems.

You get rewarded for not killing civilians. This means you can build up your points. The more honor points you garner, the more you can upgrade your weapons and armor. However, even if you kill anything you move, you can still collect many honor points. So, no sweat.

Besides killing aliens, you also need to find bits of alien technology scattered all over the game. However, there is no fun in this because you can bring up your map which will point out all the technology at each level without any problems.

Unfortunately, with all the variety in each level, you are still left with uninteresting colors, limited sound effects and not so good music. The entire game, Alien vs. Predator: Requiem, is just too bland to keep you engrossed for too long and one thing is for sure, you do not need cheat codes to play this game.
