Guitar Hero lets you work your way up the fame ladder and become a world-famous rock star. The incredible sound and graphics make this game an absolute pleasure. A lot of people might laugh at the idea of playing a fake guitar, but the game is so well-designed that most people get addicted to it. To make it more realistic, you even have a crowd listening to you. The crowd cheers your performance if they like it and boos you off if you screw up. The better your performances, the quicker you will earn fame and accolades.

Since it is a music based game, the soundtrack is obviously the most anticipated feature. There are covers from Ozzy Osbourne, Dee Dee Ramone, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and other popular guitarists. The game is controlled by a facsimile of an electric guitar with 5 multicolored "fret buttons" on the neck. For good measure, there is also a whammy bar located in the usual place. You have to create notes by holding down the fret buttons and flicking the strum bar.

If you play well enough, you can accumulate stars. When you have sufficiently high Star Power, your character produces an awesome performance that makes the crowd go wild and you become a superstar. In order for that to happen, kick up the level, increase the power chords, and take your best shot at rocking the house. You can spend hours trying to perfect your style of play and working up the fame ladder.
