Although Assassin’s Creed is a fantastic game with great gameplay, visuals, controls and storytelling, there are minor flaws that stand out, and only because the rest of the game is so good.

The game starts with a surprise and one keeps wondering whether the company actually put in the correct disk in your disk case. I would not like to spoil the surprise by divulging the opening twist in the story. It is sufficient to say that the context in which you end up being a medieval assassin is more complex than what it seems.
Once the game actually begins after the opening twist, you will be wandering in three huge cities and the open countryside. You be the main protagonist of the game Altair, who can climb and leap to any place in the medieval world by means of number of different paths. Altair is not just a medieval warrior, he is also a ninja and his main business is hunting and killing evil men who are oppressing the masses in the Holy Land.
All actions in the game can be designated as high or low profile as a result of which individual buttons in the less important and you end up focusing based on situational observation. Each puppeteering button of the game changes the body of Altai based on the situation. For example, in a fight your open hand button might grab the enemy and that same button will help you hold on to a ledge when you jumping from one rooftop to another.
Each level is divided into several components and the first involves a trip to a location and exploring it. This is followed by doing an investigation of the target; and after getting all the information you then approach your target to assassinate him before making your escape. This can get repetitive after some time though.
However, the game has a host of collectibles scattered around and there are over 400 of them. The flaw is that none of the collectibles actually reap any rewards other than Gamer Points and Achievements.
