Blazing Angels Walkthrough & Reviews

Blazing Angels is based on the squadrons of World War II, giving players a chance to test their air-combat. As a squadron leader, you get to fly World War II aircraft in both single-player and multiplayer missions. The game has some good graphics, squadron-based combat, and artificial intelligence skills which can be used to the pilot's advantage. Although the overall impression of the game is not that great, fighter aircraft fans will have plenty to shout about when playing this game. All things considered, it should be checked out by everyone at least once.

The player's job is to evolve into an ace fighter pilot along the course of 18 missions. The plot will remind you of classic World War II movies. Pilots fly into Germany during a bombing raid or emerge from the fog over London to engage the enemy. The problem arises when you try to fly upward to get away from anti-aircraft fire or to prevent crashing in the desert; since you fly towards the sun, the entire screen white.

The controls are not exactly the most exciting in the business. Although they can be switched from the standard button layout to the new simulation mode, the response time leaves a bit to be desired. In the simulation mode, your controller will serve as your controls within the cockpit. The details of the landscape are also not that great either. There is an empty feel to the cities. You wouldl probably feel that the cities could have been given some more buildings.
