The game on the whole is a fantastic action game and gives you exactly what you expected from it even though it has easy battles and conservative design when compared to the usual Metroid adventure.
In the game Samus and her bounty hunters are struggling to repair an organic computer that has got infected by an unknown mysterious virus. In order to solve this major problem, Samus has to go to different alien worlds and strange landscapes. The Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is not about destination. It is about the voyage. You will sure recognize many of the characters from the previous series of the game, some good and some bad.
All your fight, that is aiming and turning, is done using the Wii remote. If you move the remote, you move your targeting reticle and you also turn your point of view as it nears the edge of the screen. You aim using the Z button and this allows you to lock on to your target. Moving in Metroid Prime 3 is easier than its predecessors.
The single player mode will take approximately 20 hours to finish and Samus is constantly with her trusty arm cannon and homing missiles. As you progress through the game, you earn cumulative upgrades and you do not lose any abilities. Although you are not challenged as much as you would like by the usual enemies, shooting in Metroid Prime 3 feels really good because of the smooth controls and the vast variety of alien and mechanical monstrosities you have to fight with.
The shooting is the game is further enhanced by Phazon Enhancement Device or PED. This allows you to enter hypermode by pressing down the plus button. In hypermode, attacks are extremely damaging and outrageous. Samus has limited phazon so once it depletes, you have to wait for it to reload. Another new addition is the Nova Beam. This is used along with the X-ray visor and you can shoot enemies and objects through walls.
Metroid Prime 3 is not just about using weapons. You also have to use your brains to solve the puzzles. You have to take note of your surroundings so that you can find your way to your next goal. You have to grab objects and this can be done by flicking the Nunchuk forward and then rip the object away by pulling the Nunchuk back.
