The quality of the design, controls and presentation is just right for anyone to appreciate the long-time favorite plumber.
The game begins with Mario receiving a letter from Peach to come to the castle because she has a special gift for him. When Mario arrives, he finds that Bowser and his son also arrive in a fleet of airships and they use a giant UFO to take the castle. Mario runs after them but is unable to rescue his beloved Peach.
Mario then joins hands with a creature called a Luma, who is from a race that looks like a cross between a headless chicken and invincibility star. The Lumas are headed by a woman called Rosalina and they all live on a spaceship called the Comet Observatory. It is here that Mario find out that Bowser has disappeared with a group of Power Stars which are used to power the Lumas’ spaceship. In order to reach Bowser’s hideout, Mario has to travel through different galaxies in the universe to collect as many Power Stars as he can so that he can get the power back to the Lumas’ spaceship, fly to Bowser’s hideout and rescue the princess.
Super Mario Galaxy game is highly engrossing. Each level is with tons of clever traps and puzzles that Mario has to figure out and navigate. Initially the difficulty level is not too high but as time goes by, the difficulty level increases and the level becomes more and more challenging. Inexperienced players might get frustrated but exploring the different galaxies is worth the frustration and challenge.
Super Mario Galaxy Game is fun to play. Mario can even wear a number of different costumes to get new abilities. For example, Mario can get the abilities of a bee through a new pair wings. These wings also give him the power to climb walls in certain honeycombed areas. Mario’s main mode of attack is the spin move and this can be easily done by shaking the Wii remote. The trick behind effective spinning is to wait a second before spinning again so that you can get away from a bad guy if you happen to miss. The Wii remote is also used as a pointer and by pointing the remote on the screen you can easily collect star bits which serve the dual purpose of Super Mario Galaxy currency and a weapon.
Super Mario Galaxy game is so much fun that just to replay the levels you will keep returning to the game. The game also has a multiplayer mode, though it is a limited one. Another player can point his Wii remote to the screen and can help you collect star bits, shoot star bits etc. The other player can also help you do super jumps and stop certain enemies from attacking.
